What do Korean travelers prefer in the United States? What cities do they visit? What is most inspiring for them?

Regarding Korean travelers, the U.S. really benefits from their visits. In the pre pandemic era in 2019, Koreans used to spend 4900 USD per trip. Korea was the sixth largest source of inbound travel to the U.S.

The U.S. has been the number one top non - Asian destination for travel for Koreans. The most popular destinations are Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Seattle followed by the New York-Washington, DC corridor

Let's take a look at the tourist offers of some of those cities.

PHILADELPHIA

Philadelphia's historic heritage attracts many tourists. The Independence National Historical Park (it includes the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and other historic sites) is one of the great things to see in Philadelphia. There are lots of museums and attractions in Philadelphia. They can be small and massive, historic and modern. One of these attractions is the PhiladelÅ¡hia’s Magic Gardens which is an immersive mixed media art environment that is completely covered with mosaics. Isaiah Zagar created this place out of tiles, bottles, bicycle wheels, mirror, and international folk art to explain his life and influences. Another option is to visit the Barnes foundation to see the French impressionist and post impressionist paintings. The list goes on.

Much of the city’s tourism is located around the Inner Harbour. The National Aquarium is the most popular attraction for visitors. There are several historical ships and other attractions open to the public. The ship USS Constellation from the last civil war vessel afloat is docked at the head of the Inner Harbour. There you can also see the USS Torsk (the submarine which holds the Navy’s record for dives more than 10,000), Coast Guard cutter WHEC-37 (the last surviving U.S. war ship from Pearl Harbour which survived the Japanese attack on December 7, 1941). Another thing to see is the lightship Chesapeake which marked the entrance to Chesapeake Bay for decades. All these attractions are maintained by the Historic Ships in Baltimore organization.

Some of the most important tourist attractions in the city are the Golden Gate bridge and Alamo Square Park. Both of these locations are used in the hit America television sitcom Full House. The city portrayal has often been presented in movies and in popular culture which is why the city is recognizable worldwide. San Francisco has long been an LGBT friendly city. It attracts gay tourists from all over the world. The city hosts San Francisco Pride, one of the oldest and largest pride parades.
