Filipinos find strengths through their faith; However, a community full of Kababayans will make it feel like home in the house of God. Here are some Filipino Churches in America where you can find Kapatids and Kababayan to celebrate the word of the lord!
St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church
Around the Philadelphia area, there is a parish choice of many Filipino-Americans named Saint Augustine Roman Catholic Church. The church is devoted to Sto. Nino de Cebu, the Holy Child Jesus.
The statue of Sto. Nino was installed in Philadelphia on January 11, 1992, and has since been the National Shrine for devotion in North America.
The Church follows feast and ceremonies the same in the Philippines, and it never felt out of place for a lot of Filipinos attending it. It is also very much welcome to everyone who wants to learn Catholicism. St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church also do an annual feat honoring Santo Nino called “Sinulog” every third Sunday of January.
