The month of April is known as the month of festivities. Now that everything is slowly going back to normal with various shops going back to business and social gatherings are now allowed with constant cautions, many people are not missing the opportunity to go out and engage with different people, especially meeting up with loved ones. Celebrations are now enjoyed physically by many. Down to the last week of the month of festivals, here are some of the festivals that people could enjoy until the early month of May.

This annual event is a must experience for both locals and foreign visitors. The Flower Fields of Carlsbad is located in the North region of San Diego. It is a well-known tourist attraction from mid-March to the end of April to witness the blooming of more than 700 million flowers in the nearly fifty acres of rolling hills. It is believed that the spectacular natural transformation was celebrated for over sixty years and has been an annual tradition for many people to drop by and witness the breathtaking view of the sea of flowers.
The flowers are called “Giant Tecolote Ranunculus” or more commonly known as Persian Buttercups and could grow to 10 to 12 inches. What makes it more interesting is that this specific flower species is hard to grow because of its high-maintenance needs such as sunlight, rich soil and light watering. The annual burst of colors in the flower field is already part of the country’s heritage which symbolizes the start of spring in the country.

Sip, eat and relax in one of the famous festivities in San Diego, California. Local foodies and alcohol aficionados will surely enjoy the Seven Seas Craft Beer and Food Festival. This annual celebration is organized by a well-known water themed park, SeaWorld San Diego. Exemplifying diversity, this annual celebration features local beer breweries and over 150 international cuisines. The food journey is just a starting point of the fun as visitors enjoy over 100 kinds of alcoholic drinks— from craft beers, famous beers and cocktails.
It is open every weekend from early March to May 1 allowing locals and tourists to enjoy social engagements over craft beers and countless food selections. Organizers do not fail to go all in by making sure to include live performances as they go all in for the delicious celebration.

Celebrating culture through music, food and drinks, Fiesta Old Town Cinco De Mayo in downtown San Diego is one of the historical celebrations that are well-loved by many people because of its lively activities and friendly ambiance. This free annual celebration transforms the small neighborhood of Old Town to a colorful party place with vibrant decorations, dozens of food options, free flowing margaritas and live performances. There are different artisan marketers in the side streets and musicians are scattered throughout the small neighborhood welcoming all the attendees.
Now on its 39th year in celebration, the fun-filled festival is now back to its offline event this year after its two-year long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This celebration is an opportunity for locals and tourists to experience authentic Mexican festivals and its strong relationship with the western. San Diego has been a home for different cultures from Asian countries alone. The Old Town Cinco De Mayo is a great example of unity in diversity.
As things slowly go back to their original state, many people are taking the opportunity to slowly go back to their usual life while some are just making the most of it. The continuous return of offline activities for the annual festivals is a good sign because many people are also returning to their businesses.
Make sure not to miss out any of these events!
