OBRAA.org is a media platform that showcases inclusivity among Asians in America. The newly established portal will provide contents that would empower Asian Americans and Pacific Islander communities in California.
Around 40% of the total population in California are Americans with Asian heritage. These people are not just immigrants that work temporarily in order to provide for their families back to their home countries. They are permanent residents and citizens that share cultures from the east within the American society. OBRAA.org aims to highlight inspiring stories and aspirations in life that will surely bring a positive image to the AAPI community. This is the initial step spearheaded by OBRAA to help the minority reach its limelight that is long overdue.
There are also Asians whose dream is to visit and explore United States. Tourists and immigrants are not considered outsiders as OBRAA.org will also feature places, food and activities dedicated to those who are currently planning their itinerary for the big trip to the Land of the Free.
Non-Asians who would like to get to know Asian cultures could also enjoy these feature stories as OBRAA.org sets to publish articles highlighting cultures from Asia brought to America.
The portal aims to be the magnifying lens that explores the fastest growing major ethnic groups in the United States. Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have made contributions in the field of arts, entertainment, literature to name a few. The top origin groups are Chinese, Indian, Filipino, Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese, which all represent 85% of the AAPI population. Through OBRAA.org, we highlight these stories of success and achievements, as well as empowering news that will surely bring a smile to each and everyone.
